Meet Alicia Maria
I am Alicia Maria, a multi-disciplinary healer and sacred artist devoted to assisting people in returning to their body and the Earth, so they may create a life that feels rooted, responsive, and alive.
Each space that I hold weaves both science and spirit, with deep reverence for the subtle forces that shape our experience of being alive.
Each service I share is ceremonial in nature and exists as an invitation into the profound medicines of slowness, stillness & softness.
Each offering is an extension of my own devotion to healing as a form of remembrance of what it truly means to be a human on Earth at this time.
My Approach
My unique approach combines 7+ years of study and practice of body-led and energy-literate therapy modalities, compassionate care, ritual and ceremony.
Key dedicated trainings, apprenticeships, mentorship & experience I weave into my practice include:
𖦹 Craniosacral Therapy (Visionary, Upledger & Biodynamic)
𖦹 Somatic Experiencing + Trauma Resolution
𖦹 Community Support Work
𖦹 Oracular Healing + Womb Mysteries
𖦹 Archetypical + Mythological Healing
𖦹 Herbalism + Plant Spirit Medicine
𖦹 Cha Dao (The Way of Tea)
My offerings are a distillation of my own life experiences alongside both formal and informal paths of study.
It is through this combination that I can offer a multi-faceted and intuitive, yet grounded approach.
I hold a deep love for learning and am continually engaged in new exploration and skill cultivation.
Through the many different facets of my work I have supported clients and community in navigating transition, loss, trauma, stress, fear, nervous system dysregulation, pain, chronic illness, and deep processes of rebirth, rites of passage and restoration.
My approach is gentle, attuned, and responsive, guided by careful listening and a deep respect for each individual’s unique path and pace.
A Personal Journey
Throughout my life there has always been a fascination with the unseen. I knew at an early age I was able to see what others seemed to miss…and felt a calling to know those connections intimately ~ to remember.
Growing up in a tumultuous home environment, I found solace in the surrounding woodlands and waters, or in the quiet of the local library. I felt most grounded with my hands in the soil, making offerings to the birds, trees, and insects or immersed in the pages of books, following a deep curiosity across a wide range of subjects.
Both provided connection to the subtle magic and miraculous nature of life around me. These early experiences shaped my way of relating to the world, becoming anchors alongside their opposites: hardship, violation, suppression.
For many years, I lived in a state of chronic unwellness, navigating mysterious symptoms, diagnosis (and misdiagnoses).
From a young age, I was on a path of healing.
My fascination with learning became drawn towards wellbeing from every angle: the body, the mind and the spirit. I also held a deep care and curiosity for knowing, tending and spending time in the eco-systems around me.
My quest was not just in search of better health, but a sense of belonging: in my body, in my experiences, and in the world.
An inquiry formed within that would guide me for many years: How did our wellbeing as humans shape the wellbeing of the environment? And how did the wellbeing of the environment shape us in return?
Education & Training
This inquiry led me to complete my Bachelor of Science in Geography. After completing my academic training, I immersed myself in studying the Healing Arts, Feminine Mysteries, Complementary & Alternative Medicines and more through apprenticeship, mentorship and self-guided curriculum.
My science-based perspective gained during my time of researching ecological processes and mapping how energy flows through landscapes upon this planet we call home became the foundation of my hand-on approach to understanding and working with the human body.
I see the body as a landscape: an extension of nature – inherently orienting towards balance.
The Medicine of Relationship
The deepest healing and nourishment arrived in moments of stillness and connection: When I came into direct relationship with my own body and with the body of the Earth.
𖦹 ecosystem restoration & farming
𖦹 crafting herbal medicines
𖦹 cultivating a daily, devotional practice of tea ritual
𖦹 studying the language of the bones and body
𖦹 learning to weave
𖦹 learning to hear & heed the calls of my own being
I came to understand healing as a process of learning to listen.
The Core of My Work
At the heart of all I offer is space for people to return to themselves.
To find tenderness, steadfastness & coherence.
To experience restoration of soul & soma.
Each offering of hands-on healing, ceremonial practice, and craftsmanship supports others in slow downing, listening deeply, and reconnecting with their own deep well of wisdom.
I provide support in anchoring remembrance of how to tend to what is most important and reconnect to a sense of capability and centredness – even in the face of uncertainty — so one is empowered to take their sacred next step.
